Barcelona produced a rollercoaster performance to salvage a 3-3 draw against Granada at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys, their first home draw in LaLiga this season.
Chasing league leaders Real Madrid, Barca needed all three points against 19th-placed Granada. And they got off to a dream start through 16-year-old wonderkid Lamine Yamal, who tapped home Joao Cancelo’s cross at the back post.
Despite dominating possession, Barca couldn’t put the game to bed. Robert Lewandowski had a goal-line clearance denied, and soon after, Granada hit back through former La Masia graduate Ricard Sánchez just before the break.
The second half was even wilder. Granada took the lead twice through Pellistri and Miquel, while Lewandowski and Yamal responded for Barca. The drama continued as Iñigo Martínez’s goal was ruled out for offside, but Yamal kept his cool to fire in a long-range equalizer.
A stunning Ter Stegen save denied Granada a late winner, sealing the draw. While a point does little for Barca’s fading title hopes, it was a memorable night for Yamal, who announced himself on the big stage with a performance for the ages.
