Karim Benzema set to return for Al-Ittihad

Karim Benzema, 36, is set to make his return for Al-Ittihad after a brief period of uncertainty surrounding his future at the club.

The former Real Madrid star had been linked with a move away from Al-Ittihad during the winter transfer window, but he has since confirmed his commitment to the Saudi Arabian club.

Benzema, who is contracted to Al-Ittihad until 2026, has now been declared fit to return to action after recovering from an injury.

The club announced his return on their social media channels, writing: “Get ready, the legend is back.”

Benzema’s return is a major boost for Al-Ittihad, who are currently in second place in the Saudi Pro League.

The French striker has scored 11 goals in 14 appearances for the club since joining last summer, and he will be hoping to help them win their first league title since 2009.
