ACF Fiorentina put their three-match winless streak firmly behind them with a dominant 5-1 victory over Frosinone at the Artemio Franchi. This win lifts them back into contention for a Champions League spot, just two points behind the top four.

Frosinone started brightly, nearly taking the lead through Francesco Gelli, but it was all Fiorentina after that. Lucas Beltrán hit the crossbar with a header before Jonathan Ikoné set up the opening goal for Andrea Belotti, his first for the club since joining from Roma.

Ikoné was again involved in the second, his shot taking a deflection and looping over the goalkeeper. Lucas Martínez Quarta added a third before half-time with a towering header.

Frosinone pulled one back after the break through a deflected free-kick, but any hopes of a comeback were extinguished when Nicolás González netted a brilliant volley. Antonín Barák rounded off the scoring late on to complete the rout.

This was a perfect performance for Fiorentina after their recent struggles. Ikoné was a constant threat down the wing, while Belotti and González took their chances well. The win moves them into sixth place, just two points behind fourth-placed Juventus.

Frosinone remain winless away from home in Serie A this season. They showed some fight after going behind, but ultimately their defense was too fragile against a clinical Fiorentina side. The defeat leaves them in 17th place, just four points above the relegation zone.
