Atlético Madrid eye Álvaro Valles as potential Oblak replacement

Atlético Madrid are reportedly interested in signing Álvaro Valles as a potential replacement for Jan Oblak.

Oblak has been linked with a move to Manchester United in recent months, and Atlético are keen to have a successor in place in case he leaves.

According to Fichajes, Atlético have been scouting Valles for some time. The 26-year-old goalkeeper is currently playing for Las Palmas, where his contract expires in 2025.

Valles has also been linked with Sevilla, and he is valued at around €10 million. He has kept seven clean sheets in 24 La Liga appearances this season.

Valles is a tall and agile goalkeeper who is good with his feet. He is also a good shot-stopper and has a strong command of his area.

If Atlético do sign Valles, it would be a major coup for the club. He is one of the most promising young goalkeepers in Spain, and he has the potential to be a long-term replacement for Oblak.
