Torino eye Marseille's Gattuso as potential replacement for Juric

Torino have reportedly added Marseille manager Gennaro Gattuso to their list of candidates to replace Ivan Juric.

Torino FC are actively considering Gennaro Gattuso as a prime candidate to take the helm if current manager Ivan Juric departs during the upcoming summer transfer window. Fabrizio Romano reports that Gattuso features high on Torino’s shortlist, with the Italian club preparing for a potential transition.

Ivan Juric, who has been at the helm of Torino since 2021, has expressed his desire to leave the club if he fails to secure a European spot. As things stand, Torino find themselves in 10th place, making the coveted European place uncertain. With Juric contemplating an exit, Torino are proactively exploring alternatives to fill the managerial void.

The Italian manager is currently associated with Olympique de Marseille. Marseille have faced struggles under Gattuso’s leadership, especially in recent months. Despite this, the French club remains convinced that Gattuso can help them achieve their goal of European football, even if the prospect of Champions League qualification seems distant.

Marseille’s last win came in the Coupe de France against 5th division side US Thionville, as the Olympians struggle to find form in Ligue 1. They were recently beaten by Lyon last weekend. The OM manager recently stated that he wants to be more severe with his team, perhaps signaling a problem with mentality.
