21-year-old left-back Frans Krätzig is undergoing a medical with Austria Wien ahead of a potential six-month loan move from FC Bayern Munich, according to Florian Plettenberg .
The deal is not yet finalized, but an announcement is expected within the next few hours. Austria are keen to have Krätzig training with them this afternoon, with rumors suggesting he could even make his debut on February 10th against Hartberg.
It seems head coach Michael Wimmer has been a key driving force behind this move, pushing hard for Krätzig’s inclusion. However, there’s a slight snag: Krätzig was initially reported to be keen on staying at Bayern.
Although the player is now reportedly open to the loan, Bayern haven’t given the green light yet. Time is running out, as the Austrian transfer window closes on February 6th.
Will Krätzig be wearing the Austria Wien colours soon? Stay tuned for the official announcement.
