Real Madrid puts Mbappé in his place despite imminent move

Kylian Mbappé is expected to join Real Madrid on a free transfer this summer, but the Spanish club is not letting him dictate the timing of the announcement.

Mbappé, who has been linked with a move to Real Madrid for several years, is reportedly close to announcing his decision to leave Paris Saint-Germain. However, according to reports in Spain, Real Madrid is not happy with the way Mbappé is handling the situation.

The Spanish club wants to be in control of the announcement and does not want Mbappé to upstage them. Real Madrid president Florentino Pérez is reportedly not going to let Mbappé decide when the announcement is made.

If Mbappé does make an announcement in the coming days, it is expected that he will only announce his departure from PSG. He is not expected to mention Real Madrid.

Fabrizio Romano, a respected Italian journalist, has confirmed that negotiations between Mbappé and Real Madrid are ongoing but have not yet been finalized. Romano also reports that Mbappé has not yet informed PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi of his decision.

While the outcome seems inevitable, the saga could drag on for a little while longer.
