It’s official: Bayern Munich have signed Swedish teenage sensation Jonah Kusi-Asare.
The 16-year-old forward joins the German champions from AIK Solna, the top-flight club in Sweden. He has signed a long-term contract with Bayern. The transfer fee is €4.5 million, with a further €2 million in potential bonuses.
“Jonah Kusi-Asare is a young striker with enormous potential,” said Bayern sporting director Christoph Freund. “He has all the qualities you would want: he’s technically gifted, fast, tall, and physically very strong for his age. He also has a great finishing touch. We’re very excited that he’ll be playing for FC Bayern in the future.”

Kusi-Asare is considered to be a highly promising player. He was one of Freund’s top priorities, and he led the negotiations with AIK Solna. The young Swede is expected to quickly establish himself in the Bayern squad. He will start by training with the first team, but he is also expected to play in the U19 Bundesliga.
