Luka Modric Turns Down Saudi Arabia, Wants to Stay at Real Madrid

Luka Modric has made a big decision about his future. The 38-year-old Croatian midfielder, who is out of contract with Real Madrid in June, has turned down offers from Saudi Arabia and the United States.

Modric has been a key player for Real Madrid for over a decade, winning four Champions League titles, five La Liga titles, and three FIFA Club World Cups. But his playing time has decreased this season as the club has brought in younger players like Jude Bellingham and Eduardo Camavinga.

Despite his reduced role, Modric is still determined to play at the highest level. He believes he has two more years left at Real Madrid and is willing to accept a pay cut to stay.

“I’m not going to go to Saudi Arabia or the United States,” Modric told Cadena SER. “I want to stay at Real Madrid. I’m still playing at a high level and I think I can contribute to the team.”

Real Madrid have yet to make a decision on Modric’s future. The club is reportedly concerned about his age and fitness, but they also value his experience and leadership.

The outcome of Modric’s situation will be one of the biggest storylines in Spanish football in the second half of the season.
