Real Betis in talks with Cédric Bakambu

The Real Betis are still on the hunt for a striker, and the latest name on the agenda for the Verdiblancos is Cédric Bakambu.

Bakambu is a familiar name to many fans of the EA Sports FIFA franchise, having played for Villarreal, Beijing Guoan, and Galatasaray in recent years. He is known for his powerful shooting and aerial ability, and he has scored goals in some of the biggest competitions in the world, including the Champions League and the Africa Cup of Nations.

Bakambu is currently playing in the Africa Cup of Nations with the Congolese national team, and he has been in good form, scoring three goals in five appearances. He helped Congo to reach the quarterfinals of the tournament, where they will face Morocco on Wednesday.

The Betis are looking for a striker to replace Borja Iglesias, who joined Bayer Leverkusen in January. Bakambu would be a good fit for the team, as he is a proven goalscorer with experience in La Liga. He would also give the Betis a different option up front, as he is more of a physical striker than Iglesias.

However, there are some challenges that the Betis would need to overcome in order to sign Bakambu. He is currently under contract with Galatasaray until 2025, and the Turkish club would be looking for a significant transfer fee. Additionally, Bakambu is 32 years old, and he may not be a long-term solution for the Betis.

Overall, Bakambu would be a good signing for the Betis, but it is not clear if the deal will be possible. The Betis will need to be prepared to pay a significant transfer fee and convince Bakambu to sign a short-term contract.
