Lazio have made an initial offer for Plymouth Argyle winger Morgan Whittaker, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian club are looking to strengthen their attacking options and have been linked with a number of players in recent weeks. Whittaker is seen as a potential target after Sunderland rejected their bid for Aiden McGeady last week.
The 23-year-old has been in impressive form for Plymouth this season, scoring seven goals and providing six assists in 24 League One appearances. He is a versatile player who can play on either wing or as a striker.
Plymouth are keen to keep Whittaker at the club, but they may be tempted to sell if Lazio meet their valuation. The Pilgrims are currently seventh in League One and are looking to push for a play-off place.
