Leander Dendoncker is on the move again. The Belgian midfielder has joined Napoli on loan from Aston Villa, with an option to buy at the end of the season.
Dendoncker has struggled to get regular playing time at Villa, making just 389 minutes in the Premier League this season. He is hoping to get a fresh start in Italy, where he will be looking to impress Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti and earn a permanent move.
Dendoncker will have his work cut out for him at Napoli. The Partenopei are currently in ninth place in Serie A, and they have a number of talented midfielders in their squad, including Stanislav Lobotka, Frank Zambo Anguissa, and Piotr Zielinski.
Dendoncker will also need to perform well for Belgium if he wants to make the squad for the 2024 European Championship. The Red Devils are one of the favorites to win the tournament, and they will need all of their best players available.
From Belgium to Napoli. Welcome Leander! 👋
