Paris Saint-Germain striker Hugo Ekitike is looking to leave the French capital, but his proposed move to Eintracht Frankfurt has hit a snag.
The 21-year-old has been frozen out of the PSG squad this season, making just one appearance in Ligue 1. He is eager to find regular playing time, and Frankfurt is a willing suitor.
According to RMC Sport, Frankfurt has made a first official offer to PSG for Ekitike. The offer is a loan with an option to buy for around €20 million.
However, PSG has rejected the offer. The French club is reportedly looking for a fee closer to the €35 million it paid to sign Ekitike from Reims last summer.
It remains to be seen whether the two clubs can reach an agreement. Frankfurt has until January 31 to complete a deal before the winter transfer window closes.
