Kelvin Amian joins Nantes: a versatile defender with a bright future

Here’s a story we’ve been following closely, and it’s now official: Kelvin Amian is a Nantes player. The Canaries have just announced the signing of the Spezia player. The versatile defender, who was trained at Toulouse FC, has signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the Nantes side, or until 2028.

Nantes paid 3 million euros plus 500,000 euros in bonuses for the player, who was also wanted by several Serie A clubs. He has played 19 Serie B games with his previous club. It is highly likely that he will come to replace Quentin Merlin, who has a good chance of joining Olympique de Marseille.

Amian was born in Toulouse, France, and began his career at Toulouse FC. He made his professional debut for the club in 2015 and quickly established himself as a regular in the side. He helped Toulouse to win promotion to Ligue 1 in 2016.

In 2019, Amian moved to Spezia, where he has played for the past three seasons. He has made over 100 appearances for the club, scoring three goals. He was a key player in Spezia’s promotion to Serie A in 2020.

Amian is a highly rated defender and has been linked with a number of top clubs in recent months. He is now expected to be a key player for Nantes, who are looking to build on their impressive start to the season.
