Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting’s time at Bayern Munich is coming to an end. The 34-year-old Cameroonian striker, who is out of contract in June, is not expected to be offered a new deal.
There had been speculation that Choupo-Moting could leave the Bavarian giants in January, with clubs in Qatar and Saudi Arabia reportedly interested in him. His name had also been linked with Manchester United.
However, Sky Germany reports that Choupo-Moting will not be leaving Bayern in January. The club would have considered an offer if it was good enough, but no such offer has come in.
Both the player and the club are keen to finish the season together. Choupo-Moting has been a useful squad player for Bayern this season, scoring three goals in 21 appearances.
