Ulisses Garcia has officially joined Olympique de Marseille from Young Boys Bern, bringing to an end a long and protracted transfer saga.
The Marseille club has been looking for a left-back since the departure of Renan Lodi to Saudi Arabia, and had initially targeted Josh Doig. However, after several twists and turns, Garcia was ultimately preferred. The Swiss international arrives from Young Boys for a fee of around €3-4 million and a contract of four and a half years.
Garcia is a versatile player who can play both as a left-back and a left-winger. He is known for his pace, dribbling skills, and crossing ability. He is also a good defender and has a good work ethic.
Garcia’s arrival is a major coup for Marseille. He is a talented player who could be a key part of the team for years to come. He will provide competition for Sead Kolasinac and could help the team to improve its attacking output from the left flank.
