Juventus in talks to sign Jordan Henderson

Juventus are reportedly in talks to sign former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson from Saudi Arabian club Al Ettifaq, reports Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Italian giants are said to have offered the 33-year-old a 18-month loan deal, but sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli is reportedly trying to negotiate a clause that would allow Juventus to terminate the loan in the summer.

The Serie A club have offered Henderson a salary of €1.5 million per season and see the former Liverpool captain as a “concrete option” to strengthen their midfield. However, Henderson would have to take a pay cut.

ESPN recently reported that Ajax are also considering a move for the England international. Ajax coach John van’t Schip has confirmed that the club are interested in signing Henderson.
