Olympique Marseille close to deal for Adrien Truffert

Olympique de Marseille are on the verge of signing Adrien Truffert from Stade Rennais, according to RMC Sport.

The French club have been on the lookout for a left-back all winter, and Truffert is seen as the perfect fit. The 22-year-old is a talented young player who has already made a name for himself at Rennes.

Truffert has made 23 appearances for Rennes this season, scoring once. He has also earned one cap for the French national team, coming on as a substitute in a 2-0 loss to Denmark in September.

The addition of Truffert would give Marseille much-needed depth at left-back. Renan Lodi has been a regular for the club this season, but he has been prone to injury.

Marseille are currently sixth in Ligue 1, and they will be looking to strengthen their squad in order to challenge for European qualification.
