FC Barcelona: Lewandowski at the center of a heated controversy ahead of Real Madrid

Barcelona and Real Madrid to meet in Supercopa final

Barcelona and Real Madrid will meet in the Supercopa final on Sunday after both teams won their respective semi-finals on Thursday night.

Barcelona beat Osasuna 2-0 thanks to goals from Robert Lewandowski and Lamine Yamal. However, the match was overshadowed by a controversial decision by the referee, who awarded Barcelona a penalty for a foul by Andreas Christensen in the build-up to Lewandowski’s goal.

Osasuna defender David Garcia was furious with the decision, saying that it was “very clear” that Christensen had fouled him. “It’s always the same people,” he said. “It’s frustrating and it makes me angry.”

Osasuna manager Jagoba Arrasate echoed Garcia’s comments, saying that the referee’s decision had been “decisive”.

Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez, however, defended the referee’s decision. “I saw a foul at first,” he said. “But then I saw the replay and it wasn’t a foul. I don’t think the referee was decisive today.”
