Union has made an initial offer for Yorbe Vertessen of PSV Eindhoven

After a disastrous first half of the season, Union Berlin is looking to make some moves in the transfer market. The club has already secured the signing of Kevin Vogt from TSG Hoffenheim, and it is now reportedly looking to add to its attack.

According to the Dutch newspaper Eindhovens Dagblad, Union has made an initial offer for Yorbe Vertessen of PSV Eindhoven. The total package is reportedly worth around €5 million.

Union faces competition from France, however, as Toulouse has also reportedly made an offer in that range.

Vertessen returned to PSV in the summer after a half-season loan at Belgian club Royale Union Saint-Gilloise. The 23-year-old winger has struggled to break into the PSV starting lineup, however, and he could be a good fit for Union.

If Union is able to sign Vertessen, he could replace the coveted Sheraldo Becker. Becker is reportedly a target for Villarreal, and he could leave the club in the winter.
