Tottenham signs Radu Dragusin from Genoa

It’s official! Radu Dragusin is a Tottenham Hotspur player. The Romanian-Italian defender chose Spurs over Bayern Munich, who offered him a more lucrative contract financially.

Dragusin, 21, has signed a five-year deal with the London club. He will earn over €2 million per year. Genoa, who bought Dragusin from Juventus for €8 million in January 2023, will receive €30 million for his transfer, plus the loan of right-back Deje Spence.

A surprise choice

Dragusin’s choice surprised a lot of people. Bayern Munich was considered the favorite to sign him. But the player ultimately chose to join Tottenham, who promised him more playing time.

Dragusin is a center-back by trade. He is capable of playing on the left or right side of defense. He is known for his speed, technique, and passing ability. He is also very good in aerial duels.

The arrival of Dragusin is a big boost for Antonio Conte. The Italian coach has been looking to strengthen his defense for several weeks. Dragusin is a young, promising player who has the potential to become an undisputed starter at Tottenham.
