Rennes targets Pierre Lees-Melou to replace Nemanja Matic

Rennes is looking for a replacement for Nemanja Matic, who wants to leave the club. According to L’Equipe, the Brittany club is interested in Pierre Lees-Melou, the midfielder for Stade Brestois.

The 30-year-old is a Ligue 1 veteran, having previously played for Nice, Lille, and Lyon. He is an important member of the Brest team, where he has scored one goal in 16 matches this season.

Rennes will, however, have to spend a significant amount of money to sign Lees-Melou, who is under contract with Brest until 2027. The Brittany club will also have to convince the player to join Brittany, as he has already played in the south of France.

A difficult track to materialize

The Lees-Melou track is therefore far from simple for Rennes. The Brittany club will need to be patient and convincing to convince the player to join Brittany.
