Real Madrid asks Alphonso Davies not to sign new Bayern Munich contract

Real Madrid has made a request to Alphonso Davies, the left-back for Bayern Munich, not to sign a new contract with the Bavarian club, according to Sky Sport Germany.

Davies, 23, is under contract with Bayern until 2025, but the Spanish giants have been interested in him for several weeks. The report claims that Real Madrid has asked Davies to delay any negotiations with Bayern until the summer, when he will be a free agent.

Davies has been a key player for Bayern since joining the club from Vancouver Whitecaps in 2019. He has won three Bundesliga titles, the Champions League, and the FIFA Club World Cup with the club.

The Canadian international is said to be happy in Munich, but the negotiations between him and Bayern have stalled. If he does not sign a new contract, he could leave the club for Real Madrid or another top European club this summer.
