The Barcelona board of directors could submit an offer for Brazilian international Bruno Guimarães, according to Mundo Deportivo.
While Paris Saint-Germain has reportedly decided to abandon the pursuit, Barcelona is still in the running to sign Guimarães. The 26-year-old is currently under contract with Newcastle United until June 2028.
While he has a release clause of €115 million, Barcelona could offer a player exchange instead.
The Catalan club is reportedly considering offering a sum of money plus winger Raphinha. The Brazilian international is tied to Barcelona until June 2027 and has scored four goals and provided seven assists in 19 appearances in all competitions this season.
