Mohamed-Ali Cho is back in France. The 19-year-old striker, who struggled to establish himself at Real Sociedad (40 appearances, 2 goals, 3 assists), has decided to return to Ligue 1. The versatile forward, who came through the ranks at Angers, left the French top flight for €11 million in the summer of 2022, and a year and a half later, he has decided to relaunch his career with OGC Nice. After passing his medical, the native of Stains signed his new contract.
In a statement, the Eagles expressed their satisfaction with the transfer, which is estimated to be worth €12 million, including bonuses: “Mohamed-Ali Cho is an Eagle! The 19-year-old French striker arrives from Real Sociedad on a permanent transfer.”
The player, who is happy to be back in France, said: “I took a step forward by discovering La Liga and the Europa League. But, even though everything happened very quickly, my career is just beginning. I want to express my qualities, continue to progress, and assert myself. I am convinced that joining OGC Nice today will allow me to do that.” It’s up to him to play!
Cho’s move to Nice is a chance for him to get back to playing regularly and show what he can do. The French club is known for its attacking style of play, which could suit Cho’s strengths.
If Cho can impress at Nice, he could attract the attention of some of Europe’s top clubs. He will have to make the most of this opportunity if he wants to fulfil his potential.
