Jude Bellingham has only been at Real Madrid for half a season, but he has quickly adapted to the competitive demands of the Spanish giants. However, there are still some things that surprise him.
Bellingham was stunned when he learned about the upcoming training session scheduled by Carlo Ancelotti. As is customary, Real Madrid opens its final training session of the year to the public, giving fans the opportunity to see their favorite players up close.
Bellingham, who is accustomed to the pressure of playing in the best stadiums in Europe, had never experienced anything like this. It will be his first training session with fans in a completely different setting than he has been used to in the past five months.
In order to accommodate a large number of fans, the Real Madrid board of directors makes the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium available to the first team for the open training session.
“Is it going to be there?” asked a surprised Bellingham. The 20-year-old has become accustomed to training in the relative solitude and tranquility of the Ciudad Real Madrid-Florentino Pérez training complex.
This radical change in training conditions was accompanied by several infographics. Some of the most experienced players on the Real Madrid roster showed Bellingham photographs and even videos of how open training sessions at the Alfredo Di Stéfano stadium typically go.
Bellingham was impressed by what he saw. He is already looking forward to feeling the warmth of Real Madrid fans again when the team returns to training on New Year’s Eve. The session will be the first of the team’s preparations for its match against Real Mallorca on January 3, 2024.
