Benzema’s poor form in Saudi Arabia leads to speculation of a move

Karim Benzema’s move to Saudi Arabia has not gone according to plan, and the French striker is now facing speculation that he could be on the move again.

Benzema has scored 12 goals and provided five assists in 22 appearances for Al-Ittihad since joining the club in the summer. However, his performances have not been up to his usual standards, and Al-Ittihad are currently 22 points behind leaders Al Hilal in the Saudi Professional League.

Benzema’s poor form has led to criticism from fans and the media in Saudi Arabia. He has been nicknamed “Ben-Hazima,” which means “the son of defeat” in Arabic.

Benzema has also deactivated his Instagram account after being subjected to abuse from fans.

Goal Arabia reported on Wednesday that Benzema could be on the move again, with Al Nassr, the club where Cristiano Ronaldo plays, one of the potential destinations.

However, it is worth noting that Benzema has only been in Saudi Arabia for a few months, and he has a history of overcoming adversity. He was once ostracised by Real Madrid manager José Mourinho, but he eventually went on to become one of the club’s greatest players.

It remains to be seen whether Benzema will stay at Al-Ittihad or move on. However, it is clear that his future in Saudi Arabia is uncertain.
