Barcelona are determined to sign Mason Greenwood and have sent scouts to watch his last three games. The Spanish giants believe the Manchester United forward would be a perfect fit for the Nou Camp.
A source told The Sun: “Barcelona are very interested in Greenwood and are determined to bring him in. They are currently leading the race for his signature and have been scouting him to see if he fits their style of play. The overwhelming view is that he does and that he would be a valuable addition to the squad.”
A move to Barcelona would be a major comeback for Greenwood, who has been told he has no future at United.
Earlier this year, The Sun reported that Greenwood was likely to be at the center of a summer transfer battle in Spain.
The 22-year-old was loaned by Manchester United to Getafe at the start of the season and has been in impressive form.
SunSport reports that Barcelona, Valencia, and Real Sociedad are all “monitoring” the England striker and could be prepared to make a move in the summer.
It remains to be seen whether Barcelona will be able to land Greenwood, but one thing is for sure: he is in hot demand and has a bright future ahead of him.
