Bayern Munich seeks to lower João Palhinha price

Bayern Munich is looking to lower its asking price for João Palhinha, according to German media Bild. The German champions had been in talks to sign the Portuguese midfielder from Fulham for €65 million in the summer transfer window, but the deal ultimately fell through.

Palhinha, 28, has continued to be linked with a move to Bayern Munich, but the club’s focus has shifted to signing a central defender in recent months. The Bavarians have been linked with a number of defenders, including Raphaël Varane, and they are not willing to spend big money on a midfielder.

In addition, Palhinha has been inconsistent for Fulham this season. He has started only 12 of the club’s 20 Premier League matches, and he has not scored a goal.

It remains to be seen whether Fulham will be willing to sell Palhinha for a lower price. The Cottagers had extended his contract until 2027 in the summer, but they may be willing to let him go if they receive a significant offer.
