OM’s interest in Denis Bouanga collapses

Denis Bouanga’s dream of playing for Olympique de Marseille appears to have been shattered. According to a report by La Provence, the Ligue 1 club has no interest in signing the Gabonese winger.

Bouanga, who won the MLS Golden Boot with Los Angeles FC this season, has been linked with a move to Marseille in recent weeks. The 29-year-old has long been a fan of the club and has expressed his desire to play there in the past.

However, it appears that Marseille’s sporting director, Pablo Longoria, is not interested in signing Bouanga. The report claims that the club is looking for a different type of player to fill its attacking void.

Longoria has promised coach Gennaro Gattuso that he will bring in new players who fit his “footballing philosophy.” It remains to be seen who Marseille will target in the January transfer window, but Bouanga’s name appears to be off the list.

The collapse of this deal is a blow to Bouanga, who had hoped to return to France after his successful spell in the United States. However, he will have to continue to wait for his dream move to materialize.
