Inter Milan eye Michele Di Gregorio as Handanovic replacement

Inter Milan are looking for a new goalkeeper for next season. Samir Handanovic, the current incumbent, is out of contract and the Nerazzurri are considering replacing him.

According to reports from Gazzetta dello Sport, Michele Di Gregorio is one of the serious options being considered by Inter Milan. The 26-year-old goalkeeper currently plays for Monza, who were promoted to Serie A this season.

Di Gregorio is a product of the Inter Milan youth system. He has been loaned out on several occasions, including to Renate, Novara and Monza. This season, he has had a good season with Monza, playing 14 league matches and keeping five clean sheets.

Monza are willing to sell Di Gregorio for a fee of between €10 million and €15 million. Inter Milan are interested in the player, but they will face competition from other clubs.

A logical choice?

Di Gregorio would be a logical choice for Inter Milan. He is young, he has potential, and he knows the club. He could be a quality replacement for Samir Handanovic.

However, it remains to be seen whether Inter Milan will be willing to pay the price demanded by Monza. If they are, Di Gregorio could well join the Lombard club next season.
