Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly interested in signing Leny Yoro, a young French defender who is also on the radar of Real Madrid.
Yoro, 18, is a talented central defender who has already been called up to the France U20 team. He is considered one of the brightest prospects in French football.
PSG is interested in Yoro to strengthen its defense, which has been hit by injuries this season. The Parisian club has already lost Presnel Kimpembe for several weeks, and Marquinhos and Nuno Mendes have also been absent for health reasons.
Real Madrid is also interested in Yoro, who could replace David Alaba, who could leave the club on a free transfer at the end of his contract in June.
If PSG is able to sign Yoro, it would be a blow to Real Madrid. The Parisian club could thus deprive its rival of a promising young defender and strengthen its own team.
It remains to be seen whether PSG will be willing to pay the price asked by LOSC for Yoro. The northern club is not expected to let go of its young defender easily, who is under contract until 2026.
The PSG’s interest in Yoro is also seen as a way to spite Real Madrid. The Parisian club has been frustrated in its attempts to sign French players in recent years, including Aurélien Tchouaméni and Eduardo Camavinga. If PSG is able to sign Yoro, it would be a symbolic victory for the club.
