Borussia Dortmund showers praise on Paris Brunner

Since Toni Kroos in 2007, no German player had claimed the Ballon d’Or for the U-17 World Cup. However, this changed in the current edition, with Paris Brunner (5 goals and 1 assist) delivering an outstanding individual performance. His contributions played a crucial role in Germany lifting their first Youth World Cup.

In this regard, Borussia Dortmund is delighted with their rising star. Edin Terzic decided to include Brunner in the squad for the match against RB Leipzig, where the Yellow and Blacks suffered a 2-3 defeat. The early expulsion of Mats Hummels affected the home team, and Brunner did not see playing time in that particular match.

Nevertheless, Terzic did not hesitate to praise his gem, stating, “He did well in the NLZ (youth training center), he performed well in our training sessions. He has a lot ahead of him, but there is still much for him to learn and develop. We want to support him and boost his progress.”
