Paris Saint-Germain Eyes Adrien Rabiot for Midfield Reinforcement in 2024 Recruitment

In the pursuit of bolstering their midfield during the 2024 recruitment drive, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is resolute in bringing back Adrien Rabiot, who is nearing the end of his contract with Juventus.

Following a dramatic departure in the summer of 2019, Adrien Rabiot hasn’t faded from Paris Saint-Germain’s radar. Four years after their tumultuous split, the capital club is keen on repatriating their former midfielder to fortify Luis Enrique’s squad. Especially with the likely departures of Fabian Ruiz and Carlos Soler from the Red and Blue ranks in the upcoming transfer windows. Rabiot’s contract with Juventus expires on June 30, and PSG’s leadership aims to capitalize on this opportunity, offering him a return to aid his youth club in clinching their first Champions League title. Renowned for their insights into Ligue 1 leaders, the Twitter account PSG Insides affirms, “PSG will indeed attempt to make an offer to Adrien Rabiot.” While awaiting Rabiot’s decision on returning to the capital, Nasser Al-Khelaïfi and his team aspire to reinforce Luis Enrique’s squad as early as this winter.

PSG’s Pursuit: Képhren Thuram and Manu Koné

Given Warren Zaïre-Emery’s injury, PSG is not inclined to wait until the end of the season to recruit a midfielder, as per specialized media reports. With potential additions of Youssouf Fofana and Adrien Rabiot, PSG could secure a double coup for two players available on a free transfer in June 2024. However, recognizing the void left by Zaïre-Emery, the Parisian club acknowledges the need for one or two players in the midfield to ensure a smooth conclusion to the current season.

In the upcoming winter transfer window, Luis Campos is set to renew efforts for Képhren Thuram (OGC Nice) and Manu Koné (Borussia Mönchengladbach). In the event of setbacks on these fronts, PSG might extend an offer to Nigerian international Wilfred Ndidi (26 years old) from Leicester City in January. The question now remains as to which new midfielder will grace the PSG Campus this winter.
