Achraf Hakimi to stay at PSG as club closes door on Inter return

Achraf Hakimi will remain at Paris Saint-Germain next season, with the club’s sporting director Leonardo confirming that the Moroccan defender is not for sale.

Hakimi has been linked with a move back to Inter Milan, where he spent two seasons before joining PSG in 2021. However, Leonardo has said that the club is not interested in selling the 23-year-old and that he is an important part of their plans for the future.

“Achraf is not for sale,” Leonardo said. “He is a player who is very important for us and we are very happy with him. He is a young player with a lot of potential and we are confident that he will continue to improve in the coming years.”

Hakimi has made a good start to his career at PSG, scoring five goals and providing four assists in 24 appearances in all competitions. He has been a key player in the club’s recent success, helping them to win the Ligue 1 title and the Coupe de France.

The Moroccan international is a versatile player who can play at right-back or left-back. He is also a good crosser of the ball and is a threat in the final third.

Hakimi’s decision to stay at PSG is a boost for the club, as he is one of the best young defenders in the world. He is a key player for the club and his presence will help them to challenge for more trophies in the coming years.
