The Nigerian striker is looking for a new challenge and has his mind made up. If he moves to England, it’s to sign with Chelsea.
For Osimhen, it’s Chelsea or nothing
Chelsea’s interest in Victor Osimhen is not new, and according to reports from Standard, the club’s priority remains to sign a striker. Nicolas Jackson has not met expectations, and Christopher Nkunku’s injury leaves a void to be filled. The goal is therefore to secure the services of a top-class striker, and Victor Osimhen seems to be a top choice.
The player himself is open to a move to Chelsea, which is a glimmer of hope for the club’s management. Osimhen has expressed his admiration for Chelsea legend Didier Drogba, even calling him an idol. He also likes the idea of playing in the Premier League. With Napoli going through a difficult period since the departure of Luciano Spalletti, it is likely that the Nigerian striker is looking for a change, although any transfer in January seems unlikely. One thing is for sure, Osimhen has expressed his desire to join Chelsea if an agreement is reached with Napoli, according to reports from Nizaar Kinsella.

However, negotiating with Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, is never an easy task. De Laurentiis is asking for more than £100 million to sell his striker (about €120 million), who was voted the best striker in Serie A last season. Chelsea is still considering whether to sign a striker in January and should wait at least until mid-December to finalize its plans for the winter transfer window. It remains to be seen whether Chelsea’s management will wait until next summer or whether they will opt to sign another player this winter in the meantime.
