Juventus: Rodrigo de Paul deal stalls

Juventus is in talks to sign midfielder Rodrigo de Paul during the winter transfer window.

The Juventus Turin team is looking to take advantage of the winter transfer window to sign a midfielder. For several days now, it has been known that the priority is Rodrigo de Paul.

De Paul, who is 29 years old, is under contract with Atlético Madrid until June 2026 and has a release clause. Atlético Madrid is asking for €35 million to let the Argentine international go.

This is a sum that the Juventus leaders are not willing to pay. According to information from Calciomercato, Juventus is hoping to sign de Paul on loan with an option to buy that could become mandatory under certain conditions.

The deal is currently at a standstill, as Juventus and Atlético Madrid are unable to agree on a transfer fee.
