Bayern Munich is Arsenal’s main rival for the signing of Martín Zubimendi

In the transfer market, we can see in each transfer window how the battles for some footballers are really tough. These fights usually take place when there is a star who is being pursued by two top clubs, and this would be the case of Martín Zubimendi, one of the most promising names for the summer.

Since the summer of this year, Zubimendi has been in the spotlight. He is one of the best players of Real Sociedad and this has put him on the radar of several teams. Although the list is long, now the two who seem to be about to give battle are Bayern and Arsenal, as neither intends to give up on him.

A new competitor

The Premier League team has been following the Spanish pivot for a little longer. But now the Germans have arrived in the race with great strength. Both clubs need reinforcements, and according to what Sports Mole comments, the Premier League team has a plan ready to finalize the arrival of the player.

In previous transfer windows, both Bayern and Arsenal have tried to sign a pivot, but it has not been possible. These signings have been too complex, but this time they have faith that Zubimendi’s could happen. The thing is that his contract would be the big problem for his departure.

It won’t be so easy

Zubimendi’s market value is 40 million euros, so there is already a lot of money involved. But Real Sociedad does not plan to let him go. So whoever wants the player will have to pay the 60 million euro release clause.

This is a fairly high figure that both the Bundesliga and the Premier League could pay, but it is not yet known for sure which of the two is willing.
