Trained at Paris Saint-Germain, the central defender will discover the German championship after 6 years at the French club, which he joined in 2017, at the age of 12.
Chadaille Bitshiabu has made 19 appearances in all competitions for PSG, including 16 last season.
The 18-year-old central defender leaves for RB Leipzig after six years, since the age of 12, of “red and blue”. Bitshiabu, left-handed and 1.96 meters tall, was considered one of the most promising youth teams in the Paris Academy.
He made his Cup debut in 2021, led by Mauricio Pochettino, at the age of 16 years and seven months, and since then he has made 19 appearances for PSG. Last season, however, he wasn’t too lucky every time he had to play.
He will now try his luck in Leipzig. He signs for five seasons, until 2028, and will wear the number 5 shirt. “I am delighted to be part of this club. Leipzig has distinguished itself in recent years by offering incredible development to the youngest players”, he declared.
“Chadaille is one of the most interesting young defenders in Europe and we are proud that he is now playing for RB Leipzig. He is quick, strong in the air, tough in the tackle, good on the ball… and left-handed. He fits perfectly with the profile we were looking for”, indicated Max Eberl, director of Leipzig.
